Well here we go again....me trying to rationalise my online presence!
Not all that long ago, I assured you all that I would be concentrating on my Mailchimp emails, instead of my blogs, as they were more direct, and, and, and....
So, why is it that whenever a certain friend of mine comes for a 'cup of tea and a chat', it turns into a business and marketing consultation?! I guess that: either she can't really help herself - it's what she does, (and who am I to complain?!), or somehow she thinks I deserve loads of free help - the kind of thing that others pay LOADS of money for. Or maybe God is looking down from the big fluffy clouds and it's my turn for a bit of luck.....not that I'm religious or anything.
Consequently I am now on a mission to somehow pay her back....
Pretty much the main topic was rationalising the website: I've spent a sizeable chunk of the ensuing 24hrs doing just that - please have a look. Not yet finished, but have a look anyway!
She has advised that I put all my communications, news etc., onto the blog here - everything about everything I do - which is fine by me, as I don't have to keep compartmentalising stuff in my brain, and hopefully it'll be fine for you out there, as it'll be variety a-go-go.....I'll still do the Mailchimps, and if you'd like to sign up for that more personal form of communication please just fill in the little Contact Form on the 'Home' page, (bottom left), or go to the Contact page
Anyway, back to the title of this blog - it gets pretty boring for both you and me if I just tell you what I DO do, (regarding my bespoke wedding dress business - and the classes and the artwork - if you take it metaphorically!) and there's lots more scope for a little humour describing what I dislike about some aspects of the wedding industry....and what I DON'T do!
Anyway, if you've just happened upon this blog, and you like the stuff described in the title, you've probably disappeared by now (?!), but I just want to reiterate that I am all about beauty, quality and great workmanship in what I do. That goes without saying....
But one of the best reasons for having me design and make your wedding dress, OR reasons for coming to me for classes in sewing or pattern cutting (my alt business), is that I am interested in you and what makes you tick, as that is my way of getting to the essence of designing your dream wedding dress, or how to teach you pattern cutting or sewing in the best way for your personality. I have an amazingly diverse set of clients and students (hate that word 'clientele'!), so I guess I must be doing something right....
Please see the testimonials of happy wedding dress customers here, and those of Atelier Classes students here.
Join the clan of my people, folks! I'm planning a little one day Christmas open studio thing, and it would be great to see you all - anyone within travelling distance of the studio. So leave your email on the contact form, or just email me, and I'll keep you posted as to dates.
