Well, survived my first wedding fair yesterday!
Good day, with loads of great comments, and talked to lots of prospective customers - fingers crossed!
Always amazed at how much people like my drawings, as to me they're just part of the process.
Nice to meet up with an ex student of mine, now working for a wedding dress company, and a friend who tells me she's been putting together a scrap book of images/textures/and ideas related to her wedding dress. I reckon this is a great way to identify your preferences if you're the kind of person who finds it hard to make decisions. In effect, this is how designers work, when starting on a new design project.
So, time will tell as to work results, but it's been pretty good publicity on a local level.
And thank you to Anna Galvin, owner of the hotel, who kept us very well supplied with tea/coffee (and champers at the end!), and was very jolly, appreciative and was promoting me brilliantly to visitors!! Thank you Anna :-)
