This is a detail of the first sample colsca I made. Since then, many and various versions have been made, some in all tweed, some with other textured 'warm' fabrics such as silk tweed (seen here on the left), cashmere, wool gabardine, velour and velvet, and believe it or not, candlewick :-)
The pattern for this is almost ready to go, and is only £5. That includes a 'taller' and shorter version, and a pattern for the wadding, which is different to the colsca pieces. Dig out your lovely vintage buttons to use here - the odder and mismatched the better!
