Atelier REDOLENT
Redolent is the parallel line to Atelier, and the designs for Redolent incorporate items of 'personal meaning'.
These could be, for example, a piece of lace from your grandma's wedding dress, a piece of ribbon which tied up a present or flowers from your beloved, or even words from a text, song lyrics or a love-letter subtly embroidered into the design.

The fabric here is velvety wool and cashmere, lined with dark red silk taffeta. The pleating on the 'stomacher' is made from fabric which was used to make a petticoat which was worn with the (now) mother in law's wedding dress. If you get my meaning! The lace decoration is from the same petticoat, and the other fabrics used on the stomacher are all pure silk. (Gazar, dupion, taffeta). The embroidery features oak leaves, acorns (signifying strength of the marriage, and used in traditional Elizabethan designs), and a heart with the initials of the couple's names. Some very precious items of personal meaning are hidden in a little pocket which is sewn inside to the lining of the dress.
