Will let you know when it's actually out...
Now a tweed wedding dress, that would be my idea of heaven! Anyone else think the same?

Very pleased to announce that I will apparently have a nice article with photos about my tweedy stuff in Four Shires magazine in the June issue... Sorry - to explain to those not local to me, it's one of those monthly county glossies, and will hopefully reach my potential customers in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire. Very strange how the tweeds have developed out of the wedding dress business...strange but true! The article will explain a bit, but the word count is very limiting!

Hi Everyone, just a very quick word about the pattern cutting / sewing classes that I run alongside my designing / making businesses. I have one or two gaps to fill in the teaching schedule so if you happen on this blog, and you, or someone you know are/might be interested, please message me on [email protected] , and please see the lovely dedicated blog for the classes on http://sewingbobbiesroom.blogspot.co.uk. Making, sewing and crafts are all of a sudden trendy, but I have been doing these things for a long time, (!) and can pass on all the tips, tricks, knowledge, and experience (not to mention experience of teaching for 10 years) that has come my way. Very reasonable charges, and these classes are one to one, so excellent value for money. Extra tuition for students National Diploma to BA Degree level, or total beginners all totally welc Bobbie A good day yesterday.....some very nice compliments about my stuff, both the wedding dresses and Atelier Natural History tweeds, after I had contacted a magazine. So, fingers crossed that this will result in an article/feature and more work!
On a different subject, I've been measuring up and planning for my expansion into the next door room, which I will use as my teaching studio and fitting room. So, a bit more space for ladies to swish around in when coming for a fitting for their dress, (!) and a bigger pattern cutting table that can be accessed from every side. All that will be heaven, and the room is on the sunny morning side of the house, so encouraging to work in in the mornings! There's just a bit of musical chairs to happen before I can really start, (rooms wise, which is hard to speed up), so I am having to be be really patient. NOT one of my strong points.....! (Taps fingers on table...) Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if you could do me a tiny favour, and it's just to google 'wedding dresses Banbury' and please let me know whereabouts my website (www.bobbiesroom.co.uk) is coming in the search results. Doesn't have to be too precise i.e. halfway down the second page' or some such would be great, thank you! Jonny and I have done a lot of work on SEO, (getting the rankings up), and I'm wondering how it's paying off. The significance of this is that if the website comes up in the first couple of pages, I have more chance of business coming my way, and we all need to keep the work coming in I'm sure you'll agree! Having done just what I'm asking you to do myself, embarrassingly, I'm not coming up until the 5th page, having been on the 2nd/3rd for the last few days!! These results change all the time, but that's a surprise. However, the first ever Google + post I put up is on the first page, and my url is in the post, so I guess it could be worse.... Thanks in advance, and if I can do anything in return, please let me know. :-) Bobbie Bobbie Seagroatt's Artweeks exhibition video. Music by Jon Seagroatt & Ian Staples (Be sO glObal).20/5/2012 Apparently, my venue for my Artweeks exhibition is a little hard to find, so here is a map of the exact location in relation to the village of Cropredy, near Banbury, Oxfordshire.
For satnavvers follow the directions as far as the sign for 'The Old Dairy', and then turn left following my own signs saying 'Site 11' with a big arrow underneath! Here's a link for the map: http://g.co/maps/awjpt |
